Hey all,
I've been lingering here for a little bit but I picked up a black on tan '07 Tahoe LT3 last night. Gorgeous riding vehicle. Too many electrical features for me though! I'm coming from 16 years of owning Jeep Cherokees where power windows was a big thing when I got my '99! ha

It has nav and DVD players in the headrests. The only problem is I can't get the rear headrest screens to play quite right. Does anyone know about these? On of the players (drivers side) doesn't play and the passenger side plays (after it makes some cool crunching noises) but I can't get video to the drivers side. These are supposed to be connected right?

Second, I can't get the remote start working. Was there a known problem with these or am I doing it wrong?

First off welcome to the board :Handshake:

Secondly, with the remote start you have to click the lock button first then hold down the remote start button for 4 seconds to get it to start the Hoe. Did you try that avenue yet?

With the dvd screen, I'm not well versed on those so I'll let someone else field that one :D My Burb is an LT3 but no DVD :(

I did not, but I will! I just read something about being able to disable/enable remote start in the vehicle's menu. I swear, this vehicle has more electronics than my living room!

Oh I also have a question about the radio. I know I should ask in the interior/electronics section but I don't want to go starting a whole bunch of threads.

Is there a way to add USB to the factory NAV radio? Is the NAV in the 2010 a different model? I would really love to be able to use a USB stick to play my music.

Yeah, it does take a little bit of getting used to :) Let me know if that works. I have to always think twice about that because my car is completely different from the Burb.

Looks nice! Congrats on your purchase.... What's the deal with the exhaust tip? It looks like it needs about 12" cut off the end of it!

OK I don't know Tahoes at all, but I thought the tip didn't look stock. I wonder if it is an aftermarket muffler...it does sound good!

What does a stock tip look like?

Tried the lock then remote start and it works like a charm! Thanks a lot.

Do you know if the rear video units are GM accessory ones or are they something else? I have the GM acc ones and for them to run the same video, you must flip through the video function (i think to video #2) on the other one to feed the same movie. But yes, you can have them run the same movie or different ones being they each have their own player.

:waytogo: good news! :D

For the stock "tip" I'll have to get a pic of mine but it's get a resonator back there that kind "tucks" up underneath and then the exhaust pipe just peaks out of there. For your set up (since you think there's already an aftermarket muffler on there) I'd just cut some of that off and then have a stainless steel tip of some sort welded on. An exhaust shop should be able to do this really easily and pretty cheap depending on how much the tip itself costs.
