I debated going with a true forged multi piece 24" wheel by modulare but decided against it since I am daily driving my 2011 awd tahoe in all types of weather in rainy pnw. 22s seem to e a good compromise between looks, durability and practicality.

I can go with either a 305/45 or 305/40. I'm leaning towards toyo open country AT over the nitto terra grapplers. Which size do you recommend? 40s might make the wheels look bigger while the 45s get me that chunkier look but then it may all be a wash given the little difference in height.

I def recommend the 305/40/22's and here's why:

I had 305/50/20 (overall height of 32.01) nitto terra grapplers on my avalanche before and it rubbed on stock height in reverse/full lock. If you get those tires on a 305/45/22 your overall height will be 32.81 which will DEFINITELY cause you to rub.

On my escalade I have road tires that are 305/40/22 and there is no rubbing, but another member on here put 305/40/22 all terrain tires on his tahoe and his rubs. So unless you are going with a level or a lift, i'd steer clear of the 305/45/22's altogether as you will still be rubbing on 305/40/22 all terrain tires. Regardless there will be rubbing, but it will be much less on the 305/40's. I'm now on 33x12.50R22 mud terrains but leveled 2.5/1.5 and don't rub at all which is great bc I definitely wanted the most sidewall on my tires as possible.

FYI: Here's an awesome website to calculate and compare two different tire sizes:

Haha thanks man it's just my past experiences. I had the same questions as you long ago. I too wanted to go with a 305/45 for the extra sidewall (on my escalade) but it just wasn't in the cards.

If it was me I would go OEM style 22's. Just the slides don't look that great in a 22 IMO. Nice Porsche as well. Is that a true GT3 or is it a Kit?

The oem look is just too conservative in my eyes no disrespect to the many who run them! I actually think the slides look best in 22s. Any bigger it looks like an Oregon trail ride.

It is a gt3 with the ti con rods, dry sump all of it! Lol
