Hi everyone. I'm putting a street scene hitch and rollpan on my 98 4 dr Yukon. Anybody done this and have some pictures. Also am I getting into to any surprises. I know the frame needs to be cut but I've heard that you need to cut the gas tank straps and remount in a different location. Any advice and pictures would be appreciated

There shouldn't be any need to move the tank, it's on the driver's side frame, not in the rear like the S-10 Blazers were.

I've got a rollpan on my '96, and yes, I did cut the frame, about as close to the body mounts as I could get, and had to angle the cuts back from top to bottom to clear the pan.

I've got a hitch on mine, but it's not a hidden hitch (behind the plate), nor is it one of the U-Haul brackets that drops down about 4" below the frame and sticks out past the rollpan. I didn't want that look, so I bought a section of 2 1/2" x 8" rectangular steel channel, and bolted it across the framerails, but about 6" back from the cuts. I then bolted (and welded) a receiver hitch to the steel. I've got an 8" drop ball mount, and it doesn't stick out past the rollpan, I got tired of bashing my shins on the old one I used to have.
