Okay first of all let me introduce myself... My Name Is Jodi Im 20 years old, Im from Muskegon Michigan. im a part time FootLocker Employee, and a full time student. I Recently Purchased a White 2 DR Yukon For That I Think Was A Great Price.. I Have Began Putting Time and money and also falling in love with this truck. ive been looking for a community like this for a while. I Have purchased after market additions for my truck which include a grille, headlights, tail lights and countless chrome additions. So Hopefully Im In the right place, and i can tell you all enjoy your tahoes and yukons as i do!

so after my ramble i have a few questions

1. my driver seat has alot of wear on the tan leather from the previous owners sliding in and out.... is there a place/site/member where i can purchase a stock color replacement? i was trying to stay away from buying the "cover" on ebay...

2. I Live in michigan and i have a problem with tar/dirt/mud/smudge/leafs and other stuff getting on my fender(s). i plan on getting a fresh paintjob as soon as the snow melts so i was thinking about getting mud flaps but i plan on purchasing rims, so i was thinking is there some kind of chrome underlining stuff that can wrap around the bottom and prevent rust and paint chipping? ive seen people with it before but i dont know the proper name.

3. My Trim and emblems have become faded/worn over the years is there a place to purchase replacements or can you re-chrome these?

4. my tailgate window release button has a problem. when i push it it clicks but the window doesnt smoothly release it has to be pulled as i push or i gotta have my subs beating the Hell out of it to pop it, has anyone else encountered this problem and if so how do you fix it?

5. 24" Or 26" Rims?

okay guys sorry if i hit you hard with the long text and 5 questions i have more but this is the most important stuff any help is appreciated

1. Best option is probably a new leather seat. If you want it to look like new again. Pretty tough to repair that leather. You can probably bring it to a shop to have just the seat part re upholstered. Thats my best guess.

2. Forget mudflaps, UGLY. And the key to no rust is a good washing every week. I would not go crazy with bolt on shit for the fender and rockers. It looks ugly as hell also.

3. De badge and remove all the trim!!!! You will love your truck so much more after its done. And since you are getting it painted you can de badge and not worry about if it comes out like shit because it will just be sanded down and painted.

4.Not really to sure because i dont have a tailgate i have the barn doors. But correct me if im wrong, dont the tahoes have the hydraulic piston type thing like you see on screen doors? Could that be locked up? Pistons are known for that.

24" is my opinion. 26 is to much.

Welcome Man!

My friend Zippy lives in muskegon and works in the parts dept. at the chevy dealer in town. Maybe he can help you save some money on parts.

24 or 26 ? NIETHER!!!

Why not just a set of 20's. They look nice and wont be too ******* your brakes/ gas mileage.

I had the same problem. I replaced the weatherstripe that encircles the entire rear opening, and now it pops with no problem. Got it from LMC here... It's part 38-8380.

Welcome to the forum.

1. Junkyard, ebay, craigslist, "For Sale" section

2. Never heard of it.

5. I would not go over 22". A lot of people forget that your rear-end will also take a beating if you do not re-gear and go with a larger diameter wheel/tire.

Welcome to the forums fellow Michigander. :) Lapeer/Flint area here. Let me try to help you with a few of your questions.

2. Being from Michigan myself, I herculined my entire underbody/frame/wheel wells/etc. Herculiner is a do-it-yourself bed liner, which of course also works for anything else you want to protect. It's also a hell of a lot cheaper than stuff like rhinolining. If you plan to keep your Yukon for awhile like I plan to keep my Tahoe, then I highly suggest this. Those salty wintry Michigan roads will rust your frame out so quick it's not even funny.

3. Check out ebay for chrome emblems and stuff for cheap. However id go with what 350 said and just debadge/remove side molding. :)

5. I'd recommend 22's, 24's or more might have a hard time fitting, unless you put on a 3" body lift, then id go 26's for sure!

Oh, and post some pics!!!
