I am in the process of getting a 2014 Tahoe PPV.
I have been a Chevy guy since I was born. I sold my 2006 Duramax back in Feb and was waiting for the right deal to come along for me and my family. This Tahoe came up and I couldn't pass it up. I'm excited to start with a clean slate and make it exactly how I want it. and by how I want it, I mean do as much to it as my wife will allow since she will be driving it the most.
I have been browsing the forum for the last few weeks and decided to sign up today. So many questions I have had have already been answered.
Mods done so far:
-added a bench seat between front seats
-tow hitch swapped from another Tahoe
-new headliner
Mod want list includes:
-remote start/alarm
-upgrade the sound system and add a drop down DVD player
-black bear tuner (intake and do something with the stock exhaust too)
-tinted Escalade taillight and 3rd light swap (bummed Yeti doesn't make the plugs any more)
thinks I'm sure I"ll have questions about:
-Dual batteries in the PPV - keep or go back to 1/ benefits of 2
-learning the difference in g3 g4 and g5 taillights, nbs nnbs, and some other vehicle specific terms abbreviations that I have seen on the forum. ha
-LED's and all the wiring related items (I am not very good at anything electrical unless it is plug and play)
-thoughts on LED vs HID headlights
Im sure Ill have more. Don't worry thought, I am pretty good at using the search function so I'm not creating 100's of new threads for questions asked a few times.
If you have made it this far in my post I do have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer too. It is a tire size related question but none of the threads I have found are PPV specific. what is the biggest tire size I can get on a PPV? it comes stock with 265/60/17's. I did find that I can get the 265/70/17 tires like the stock Tahoe/yukons on here but not sure about anything taller or wider.
