Hi folks,

I'm in the market for a 07 or newer Yukon Denali, Yukon SLT, or a Tahoe LTZ. I've actually come across one of each around the 07-08 year and mileage less than 60k, around $30k +\- a couple grand.

Can anyone give me their opinion on which one I should buy? I have not test driven any of them until this Friday (8/24). I don't drive that much but when I do I like a bigger SUV with style, hence the search. I'm a young professional, no kids, but enjoy taking road trips with friends out west and up in the mountains. All 3 choics have NAV, sunroof, leather, and exterior in good condition. The colors Avaiable are silver metallic with tan leather, black with tan leather, and white with black leather. I really like the look of the white Tahoe LTZ with black leather interior but have never owned a white vehicle before. I have owned black and silver. On the other hand I am drawn to the Denali for its power and great bells and whistles, but the other vehicles still have what I'm looking for...upgraded editions, leather, nav, and sunroof. Is the Denali really worth it? I have no reason to tow other than a uhaul trailer maybe.

Anyone have experience with the Hybrid Tahoe?

Sorry for the rant, but I just wanted to get some owner's opinions since I'm purchasing on Friday. Thanks all!

We have an '07 Denali with the 6.2..... Awesome power over my Tahoe with the 5.3 and mileage isn't that much worse. I personally have liked the GMC's I've owned over the Chevrolets..... anything to that, or just personal prefference, I don't know.

The real answer will be in the test drive..... buy what you like and what feels good!!

Hi Joe, welcome aboard.

I used to have an 09 Tahoe Hybrid and now own a 10 Denali.

You can't beat the Hybrid for the combination of power and gas mileage as it it has a stronger engine than the 5.3 Hoes/Yuks and gets much better mileage ... it does however have its design eccentricities and a slightly more fragile drivetrain due to its highly complicated nature. You can ask a lot more about the hybrids in the GM section at greenhybrid.com (my username there is HyHoe).

Is the Denali worth the extra price? I dunno, it is to me but not to others.

Personally I love the power and rumble of the 6.2 and prefer AWD to 4WD. I also do enjoy the little extra bells and whistles that come with it. The LTZ is a great truck, and of the three brands the Chevy in many people's eyes looks the best.

On a side note, if you get lucky you can find the rare 6.2 Tahoe LTZ version that came mostly in 2009 ... it doesn't have the Denali upgrades but it does share its drivetrain..

Cheers!

Thanks for all the responses so far, I'll be sure to check out the hybrid. I do like the extra juice of the 6.2 so that may be the one! Time will tell on Friday, I'll post my decision.

One more question. Do all Yukon/Tahoes come with the flex fuel feature? If not, is that something I should include as a mandatory feature for a purchase? Thanks!

So far as I know it, they all have it but for the Hybrids.

Thanks, just didn't notice the flex fuel tag on the back end on one of my options, nor did the specs say anything.

Another question, do you have to run premium fuel on the Denali?

Well I've taken my FF badge off so maybe whomever owned it before did the same.

You don't have to run premium.

Btw, very easy way to make sure ... yellow gas cap = flex fuel.
