New Owner '07 LTZ

Hi:
I am a new owner of a ’07 LTZ. I know these questions may have been asked, but I looked and could not find them. I also did not know what exactly to search for so I apologize if this is a repost.
I have two annoying things that I would like to see if I can change, one is on the NAV system and the other is the RES.

NAV:
Is there a way to over ride the NAB so when there is a passenger in the front seat he/she can type in an address or search for POI without stopping? I know why from the factory it is that way so driver will not search for an address while driving. I would think the system would know is there is someone in the passenger seat and enable this feature.

RES:
I know this is big no no, but is there a way to have the DVD play on the NAV screen when the vehicle is driving if eh DVD tab is selected instead of seeing the DVD disabled info, again for the passenger in the front seat would be nice for them to watch to moving at the same time.

The only way to do either of these functions is to purchase a third party fix such as a lockpick..

I bought the GMX-322 lockpick and it works great. It will unlock the unit so you have full control of the Nav while driving as well as playing a DVD on the front and rear screens simultaneously.

There is a kit they are selling on eBay to fix the items you are looking at here....
