i might steal those measurements you used on the box.

I wouldn't budge at all on the 12x12 part, you may be able to squeeze in an extra inch or two on the length. I wasn't kidding about barely being able to put a stick of gum between the box and the rear hatch.

Nice setup plan on running the sa-8 v2's. any heat issues with the amp under the seats?

I honestly dont know, Ive never even checked. I do know I pound the crap out of them and they perform just fine. Even though they are under the seat, there is still an inch or more of free space between the amp and the bottom of the seat so they get plenty of air.
