Wonder when they are releasing the new stuff. I plan on replacing the unit when we get out taxes back. I thought about the DNN922 too though. Id like to have a newer one just because maybe they worked out some kinks lol.

Same here, and based on that press release it seems like thats what they really focused on - integration with the phone. They already have 99% of the functionality/integration with the stock components.

@gwarner Looks like a major improvement, better screen, better looking display. Proving once again, it's always the wrong time to buy. Maybe they'll be some closeout pricing on the 9902s.

Id prefer one the newer systems unless its going to be like March or April when they are released. With that being said does anyone have experience with DNN922?

Think I have decided to wait and see the new Kenwood systems. After doing more research to 2015 models they are just too slow to start up. The DNX892 (and technically the others as well) take 24-32 secs to boot up. That is an insane amount of time. I know they do a bit more than the stock radio but man is it sad to see a system come out 8 years after the one in my dash and yet be slower.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if you can technically upgrade a stock unit? For instance mine didn't come with Bluetooth. Can I get a stock unit that has Bluetooth also and just plug and play?
