The way I understand it…you go to the dealer and place the order…they will configure your build and enter it into GMs system. like the other post said, at this point it’s been accepted by GM, but there isn’t a build date given because GM only moves forward when they have given the green light in the order to proceed…this is where the allocations come in…a dealer may have 20 Tahoes in line to order but may only get one or two allocations a week and then those are trim specific…so if the dealer only has high country and premier orders and they are allocated a Z71, those other orders get passed over
The only thing I would add here is that the dealer can submit it, but it doesn’t get officially accepted until the dealer gets an allocation, and if you have something on constraint, that could be months or longer.

My order was submitted, and it hasn’t been officially accepted because of the performance package constraint, and my dealer hasn’t been given any allocation yet for the small amount of those they’re letting through. My order status code is still 1100.

These distribution really just change how you can order a vehicle. If it’s really been accepted already, then usually they indicate on where it will have something or not based on the production date.

They have not said but guessing from what the dealer has told me and from what everyone here is saying its probably 1100
You can ask your dealer for the order status code. I text mine at least once per week. Also, if you go to Chevrolet website, and go to the the chat (bottom right) and use the chat bot, give them your order number, they will tell you if it's been "officially" accepted or not.

When I dealer tells you it's been "accepted", usually they just mean that Chevrolet has received it. pretty confusing I know. think of it like ordering form Amazon (like GM), where you are actually ordering from a specific vendor (like a dealer). if they don't have inventory (or an allocation) then Amazon might have gotten the order, but you're not going to get it until the vendor gets the product.

if it hasn't been officially accepted, then it's likely to not include the options includes in the distribution notes. If it has been accepted already, then it depends on the target production date (TPD).

Be careful with GM chat their information is horrible. I was told congratulations on ordering your new 2021 Tahoe from them multiple times and that truck was never built. I was still getting emails from them a week and half after I picked my 2022 up saying it was in transit with no estimated delivery date. Another good source of information is on GM Inside news. Linton is very helpful looking up your order number and giving you current status.

That is strange since the Max Trailering Package has been on constraint for weeks now and no mention of it anywhere at that link so that is not really the constraints list just looks like a change order list

I know this isn’t the right place to post this. But this was a cancellation from an order. It took over one year. And the customer didn’t take it. It’s not an XL so it’s not for me but maybe for you?

And if you are interested… Please ask for Patrick he helped me a lot. Tell him your Amys friend

Distribution updates are not the same thing as constraints.
Are you able to get distribution updates for other models or just the Chevys? Have an Escalade waiting for an allocation and would love to know what they are and aren't making
