i bought a new car last year and ever since i purchase it the tahoe has shaken like a tire was unbalanced. finally the service guy today said yes i see a problem but there is nothing we can do until it gets worse.. its not tires bc they have force balanced them to death and it always at interstate speed. so i have to keep driving and complaining everytime i get it serviced but nothing ever gets fixed. has anyone ever had this problem. its a 12 ltz

thanks

Good luck with that. Is it an LTZ? Our suburban had a vibration problem, we ended up getting rid of it because it wasn't worth the vibration. Thankfully our Tahoe now does not have that problem.

SW CT,
I've been in many GMT-900 tahoes avalanches and pickups, 1500 and 2500's a lot of them have a little shake/shimmy right around 70mph +/-. My Tahoe did it and my suburban does it too...multiple balances and still there. I am trying to find some time to drop the driveshaft and replace the u-joints and have it balanced as well.

I agree with the 70mph shake, I think they all do that little one.

OP have you tried a tire shop road force balance?? If not, just give it a shot and explain to them your troubles.

you might just need new tires bro… once in a while you'll see tires that you just can't balance, usually due to the belts inside shifting. It sucks, but I'm pretty sure most tire companies have a warranty on this kinda stuff. Like unless you've bent a rim on a curb or huge pothole then your rim should be straight, meaning your tires are to blame…

handstr,

Hello! I see that you are experiencing an issue with your vehicle that brought you into your preferred dealership and that they could not resolve the issue. I would like to look into this concern and see if we can get technical support involved in your case. Could you private message me referencing this thread including your name, phone number, VIN, current mileage, and preferred dealership?
