This seems to be a great forum and many great mods and info.
Just dropping in to say hi and ask a minor question.
Yes, I searched...and searched.
It seems that my side mirrors are able to self defrost when pushing the rear defrost button.
Two problems:
- The weather here decided to warm up, so no frost. (No idea if the defrost function works)
- The heat lights on the mirrors don't come on.

Are the heat indicators tied to the heat ability? Could the bulb have gone out?
I have multiple dash lights that are not working, so I'm slowly replacing them.

Welcome!
I've noticed this same thing on my wife's 2000 S10 Blazer. The mirrors have that little icon that says they will defrost.. However, Ive never see them actually do so.
Then again, I've also never been in frost with it. hah.

Either way.. welcome to the forum. :) Lets see some pics of your rig.

unknown at this time.
The led is only active to indicate that the heater power relay is command closed. If it does not light up check both power inputs to system fed buy fuses #12 htr-a/c in the cab and rr-defog fuse under the hood. if both put power all the way to the orange and brown wire of the switch assembly with the ignition on then the switch assembly may be broken. Do your rear windows defrost?

Thanks for the info Sunlit.
I should know in the morning. It's been too warm lately, but supposed to drop tonight.
I blame that on the new tires I got.
I'll test the power after work.

Are you referring to the mirrors themselves? They have icons to indicate heat, but as far as I know the mirrors themselves do not illuminate.

Update

As requested, update:
Pic of the new truck.

I tested the defrost functions. The rear defrost works. The left back only does half, so one of the connectors probably isn't seated right.
The left mirror gets warm. The right mirror gets warm.
The indicators don't come on the mirrors themselves.
I have to get my ohm meter today.
