Hey everyone my name is Jose and I just got a Yukon today. I wanted to post on here what you guys think about the deal I just did.

So today I found a Yukon that was being sold for $1000. It is a 1993 Yukon GT and has LOTS of new parts. The guy who sold me it gave me all the receipts that he had for it and I totaled them up and he spent about 9-10,000 on that truck during the past 4 years. Has new-to-me engine, trans, axles, ect. The thing is, yup there is a thing. The truck is quite beat up. It has dents and scratches and rust and a Bad interior. I can go on and list and list. But lets put it this way, considering the trucks mechanical side is in grate condition and the bad cosmetic side the truck from a 1-10 is at a 5 or 6 imo. What do you guys think, did I strike a deal or did I waste my money?

Also I am going to post something soon on what is wrong with the body mounts.

IMO, a non running car is worth around $400-$700. A running driving car is worth atleast $600 even beat up real bad. A car in decent shape with A/C is worth atleast $1200.

Of course this is for worthless cars like old corollas and buicks. A running truck is worth a $1000 to me.

Here are some images. The rusted bodymount prob is worse than what I first thought but should be a simple fix. Pix under |

And the last of the pix. You can see it has no back bumper, has to be replaced old one sucked. I have a another steering column that has the GMC insted of Chevy and the interior is going to be cleaned and has to get new carpet and other stuff.
