I think you already have the right idea. Make sure maintenance is up to *****. The intake/exhaust/tune is an effective combo and the most popular on here. The only 'little' suggestion I have is to bolster the tranny with maintenance and Corvette Servos.

if you have added bigger tires and rims, think of gears. The tune is worth every cent. IMHO, forget changing exhaust manifolds, they are fine for the 4.8.

Corvette servos will stiffen up your shifts a bit. The shifts will be quicker and "cleaner" haha

i have an 04 with a 5.3L. i did 1.82 comp cams roller rockers, edelbrock shorty headers, a PCM for less tune, a cold air intake, edelbrock cat back and it was all fairly easy to install and it really made a huge difference in power and only cost around 2 grand. The long tubes from dynatek is about $1500. Then you need to have the computer tuned to make the engine light go off due to the lack of cats. Also with the computer tune you need to run on 93, but its all good cause i get 2 more mpg from it, so it balances out. With all my mods it gained a tremendous amount of torque.
