Hello to all. I'm new to the forum and just signed for an 09 yukon xl slt. I really dont know much about yukons as I went in looking to purchase a suburban but someone had purchased it already. One thing I noticed about suburbans/tahoe is that I've seen so many at 150k and still looking and running great. Does this hold true for yukon? Any other feedback on the 09 yukon would be helpful too i.e. issues, problems, likes, dislikes.

I know tahoe/yukon is pretty much the same truck being GM made but if I'm wrong let me know. I'm searching and reading as much as I can before transfer to the dealership friday which is when I make it official when I drive it home. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

As long as you keep up the regular maintenance you should have a great dependable ride. There are few differences in general between the GMC/Chevy versions, mostly depends on the difference in model years and factory installed mods, etc. They all have their "quirks", but as those arise, there are some very knowledgeable folks around here that help with anything you may need.

When you get her home, be sure to snap a pic or two and post them up so we can see her!

Thanks man! I ended up getting it! When I actually saw it and drove it I liked it even more. I'll get a few pics when I can. Took it out for a long ride today with the fam and enjoyed every bit of it!

S/N I know the best fuel economy comes with the tranny switch on 2front but acceleration seems to be better on auto, is this just my mind or do some of you think so too? What do you guys keep yours on? When the dealer told me the best fuel economy is on 2front I said to myself if I was worried about that I wouldn't be getting a truck but hey he has to do his job right lol
