Hi all,

Newbie here... new owner of 2011 Black Granite LTZ.
I am sure these questions have been asked before but I have been reading the forum all weekend trying to figure out what's the best drop kit for a 2011 LTZ with auto ride. It seems the Belltech 2/3 drop kit seems to be the best kit for a mild drop. I guess my question is... is this all i need to get the best ride quality... basically close to the factory ride? I have read some people change the shocks in the rear to get a better ride. So I am kind of confused on all the parts need to get the best ride possible. I would like to keep the auto ride and not have any ill-effects from lowering the car. I was also thinking about replacing all the sway bars to get better cornering ability. I am leaning towards the DJM sway bars but wanted to get peoples opinion on those too. I am not too worried about cost just want to make sure it's done right and rides as smooth as is does now. Any help you all can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Last question (promise :^))- has anyone gotten any work done in the Washington DC area? I am still trying to track down a good shop to get the work done.
thanks everyone!

Welcome to the site. Hit up NorcalSS for your suspension needs. He's the resident tech/vendor.

Soulsea is from the DC area, I'm sure he can help you with your lowering needs as well. :)

Get the Belltech kit from Tony, put in the short autoride links, let the truck ride on just the springs, and it will ride BETTER than stock.

She's a beauty. :)

What part of NOVA are you at Reg?

Btw, when I did my 2-3/4 drop I used Trick Trucks in Kensington MD ... bunch of thieving bastards tbh, but like you, I had a hard time locating a shop to do the work.

Love Old Town, I'm over there all the time ... I'm in Georgetown DC.

To be fair trick trucks knows what they're doing ... the issue with them is related to their stupidly high prices.

Btw, this is how mine sat with a 2-3/4 drop on 24s:

Very cool. I am right outside Old town in the Shirlington alex/arlington area.

I may have to give them a call if they will do it right. Did you get your vehicle lowered there?
