I' m new to the forum, been looking around, and was wondering whats the easiest and inexpensive way to lower my 04 tahoe. I see alot of ppl are using the djm 2/3. What's a good price on that kit and is that the only thing I would need? Lastly, can I install that myself? Thx in advance for the help.

Cheapest/easiest would be keys up front and coils/shock extenders out back. Very easy and simple to do with basic tools. Use the seach options. This topic has been covered and discussed many a times and there are a lot of really good posts on it if you have the time to read up..

takes time to get them done correctly, but add the expense of a new front end alignment after lowering.

Well it depends. Is there a write up on how to do the front keys? I've seen the info on the DJM site, but I was wondering if there was anything a little more detailed? I'm doing the rear regardless, I have the kit/tool to do the front but still a little confused on what it takes to do it!!! Plus I wanna see what it looks like with just the rear dropped. My DJM 2/3 kit should be here today or tomorrow courtesy of Tony (norcalss)!
