Let me start by saying I'm a Nitto fan. have had terra grapplers on all my trucks. So I decided to try the 420S on my new Tahoe. They look great but the ride is surprisingly bad. I can feel the tread and these really feel like they vibrate at low speeds. Needless to say my wife is not impressed, either. Has anyone else experienced this? It's kind of hard to describe but I feel they rumble a lot more than they should. I don't have any complaints at higher speeds..but low speeds and coming to a stop you can hear and feel them...I'm pretty disappointed...

Any comments would be appreciated.

I have the Nitto 420s 305/35R24 on the Tahoe, we just took it to San Diego from Phoenix east valley and back, plenty of slow speed driving while in SD and I didnt notice any noise or tread feel while stopping or accelerating. I was actually impressed, I thought the 24's would ride rougher than they did, never had anything with a 35 series tire or that small of a sidewall before. Maybe you got a bad tire or two, they should replace it under warranty if you can duplicate the issues with the tire shop. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. They took the tires back and have me trying some Toyos now. The Nittos looked better to me, so I was bummed out they didn't work. I'm actually thinking about going with the terra grappler AT. I just wish I knew how they drive and ride on a Tahoe
