I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 with an aftermarket radio and a Clifford alarm. The issue I am having is sometimes the truck won't start; all the accessories work including the: radio, a/c, lights, gauges. It all works and comes on but when you turn the key to start the truck it won't do anything.

It doesn't do this all the time. Probably about 60% ofthe time.

The kill switch for the alarm has been bypassed and it still does it.

The ignition switch has been replaced with a brand new unit and it still does it.

I checked the starter relay and the alternator also both good.

The next option is the starter/ starter solenoid since it's one unit.

Has anyone had this problem in the past or does anyone know what else could be causing this issue.

Please help,

Evan.

Have you tried tapping the solenoid with a hammer or something, when they get old they can get hung up?
