I checked the optima site and I see they don't have a yellow top for my 2010 Denali XL. I have my yellow top from my 04 Tahoe (D34-78) and I wanted to know if anyone tried it before I waste my time trying to fit it in a 2010?
I'm not interested in the red top they have listed because I have plans for a system, lights etc like I had before.

You should go with and Odyssey PC1220 its a pure lead American made group 48 AGM battery. I sell tons of them here in Phoenix. They come with a 4 year free replacement warranty vs Optima with a 3 year free replacement warranty.

The XS Power d4800 is a great AGM battery option as well. I prefer it over Optima.

Thanks guys but none of the responses answered my question I just got a bunch of referrals for other batteries...my optima is only a few months old and I would like to use it so I can avoid spending more on a different one right now.
Thanks anyway but I guess I'll just try it and see

Why wouldn't it work? Didn't realize a car battery was car specific. Thought any battery could work in any car??

I think it should fit. The battery trays look pretty similar to the NBSs

If it wont fit in the tray then it obviously wont fit. There are also vehicle specific requirements on CCA and sometimes mah or ah. Top or side post as well.

The D35 (part number 8040-218) Yellow Top is what I found in the interwebs that says will fit, unsure on your D34. BUT I urge you to read the reviews on Amazon or somewhere else about this battery. They don't seem good.

x2 for XS Power D4800 Under $300.

Thanks I know the reviews go both ways some good and some bad but I was just curious because like I said when I went on the optima site nothing came up.
