Just bought a 2005 Yukon XL the other day. My first big one. Had a couple S-10 blazers in the past.

There is a noise in the roof above the second row seats that I hear when turning. I also hear it when I slide open the sunroof visor.

It sound like maybe the air runs for the vents have come loose. It is a tin sound.

Has anyone else had or heard of this problem?
Is it an easy fix?

I did a search and was not able to find anything.

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure I know what it is but I was hoping that someone would be able to confirm it and maybe help me out in fixing the problem.

I believe that is is the air ducts for the rear ac and heat that run to the vents in the roof.

Not sure how they may have come loose.

If anyone can tell me how to fix this it would help. At least then I would have an idea before I start messing around with the headliner and have an idea on how long it would take.

Definitely a unique issue you have. I would think you could just take off some of the interior trim on the side with the issue, drop the headliner and reattach the vent. But I haven't heard of this problem so I wouldn't know for sure. You might have to get in there and do some exploring.

Think I found out what it is.
It might be a support bracket that came loose.

I checked the venting ducts and they are plastic so not it.

Hopefully I can pull the DVD player and double check before I have to pull the headliner off.

Anyone possibly have a diagram that would show where the bracket should be and how it should be attached?

Thanks
