When I run my AC the clutch rattles so bad its unreal. I tried spraying some white lithium grease I had in it, that worked a little bit for little while. I was thinking maybe sticking some gear oil in there. I don't want to replace the clutch because for the same price I can get a new compressor at Oreilly pretty much. Also the light on the button goes on and off. The compressor keeps running but the light will turn off.

The light just may be a defective bulb. Does your clutch wobble by hand when the engine is not running.

No I tried wobbling it but it seemed tight. The AC works awesome but its so damn noisy I have to turn up the stereo lol.:wtf2:

Yep I'm positive. Everything was tight the last time I checked. Maybe I missed something, I'll check it tonight again.

Double checked the whole thing today. Seemed pretty tight. I'm starting to think it's the whole compressor because the button light turns on and off. Maybe something inside loose it is screwed up.:emotions122:

The light control is not a function of when the compressor is actuated on or off or if it is suffering faults. Its indication is there to tell you you deliberately requested it to be on. The engine PCM, based on various pressure sensors among other things, has the final say of whether or not the clutch operates. So if makes all kinds of noise for what ever reason the compressor will continue to run as long as the sensors say it is doing its job. There is no feedback of operation back to the control head which may just have a bad bulb, bulb socket or bad control head and the control head would not make your compressor go bad. You may just have to replace the compressor. Before you do tho ensure that is not overcharged.

I already checked, it's good. I guess I'll throw some gear oil in it and save up for a new compressor.
