Hey guys ,haven't been on here for a while. I put a set of nitto 420s on my hoe back in may. After about 1 week I noticed a knot on the left front so I took it back to the place of purchase. Super cool guys. They replaced it no questions asked. So here we are 5000 miles later and man do these things howl. Sound like a 4wd coming down the road or at least from the inside of the truck that's what it sounds like.lol. I took it back the guy and he tells me that nitto wont warranty them unless they can prove there is something wrong with them. Duh! They wont issue a credit for new ones on his word. They have to be dismounted and sent back and even then its very unlikely they will do anything. I have a friend that sold his tire store awhile back and he told me that nitto is very difficult to deal with after the sale. OK getting to the point have any of you guys had any issues with your nittos. I cat visibly see any imperfections on the tires.

Have you had an alignment recently or at least double checked to ensure everything is lined up ok?

I've got a set of Nittos (Tera Grappler I think) on my Hoe and they are noisy too. They are wore out though. Were on the truck when I bought it....

420s are not a aggressive tread. Sounds like you may have a alignment issue. Take your hand and rub it on the edges of the tires. Does it look like or can you feel it raise and lower? This pattern will cause the noise you described. I have nittos 420 and rotate regualry. No problems

the tires look perfect. I had my buddy who owned a tire store look at them. He looked them over pretty good.,checking the edges for any feathering

Had a buddy work at a tire store for years and he said they would see stuff like this all the time.

They never could figure out what was really going on, but they noticed some brand tires do not do well with certain suspension set ups. ie-tires worked well on Chevy but not on Ford.

They would just recommend people not to buy that brand of tire, and would suggest another.

I don't have any issues with mine, but they only have maybe 4-5,000 miles on them in the last 2 years.
If they are wearing ok, could it be something else like a bad hub?

Well, I had a bad taste in my mouth after having 420's on my truck for over a year. Mine were a little noise as well and also just this year I had bubbles on all 4 tires. I explained to Nitto what the issue was and they said my weight of the truck and size of the tires is what caused the issue and wouldn't do a thing about it. Tires still had over 60% of tread on them. For a tire that is around 3500-4000 grand for a set of 26's to do that was bad..

Brent when you say bubbles do u mean eggs? If so I got two eggs on two of my nitto 420's too recently and had to get two new tires.

yeah but you ran tires that were not rated for the weight of your truck. It doesn't really matter if they were $10 or $10,000 a piece.
