NOT SHIFTING INTO 4 Wheel Drive 97 TAHOE

Hey I was driving my truck the other day and got stuck and my 4 wheel drive wouldnt engage to get me out


I checked the fluid in the transfer case and it was low so i drained it and
refilled it
and I replaced the fuze

I can hear a clicking noise when I push the button to shift into 4X4
but nothing happens the light just keeps blinking

Did you put it in park when you engaged the 4wd? I don't know if it holds true for everyone, but it works for me... if the 4wd hasn't been engaged for a long time, I just shift to park, engage the 4wd, wait for the light to stay solid in 4 hi or lo and shift back to gear. After that, there's basically no problems going in an out of 4wd.
