so in the winter after i washed it my starter froze and i had to tap it with a hammer to get it to start, then a coupe weeks ago in 24*C it did it again so i tapped and off she went, today was not so warm and agian no start, i tried tapping and no go, i turned the key a 100 times and nothing, there was full battery power then while trying again in succession it just started, i got home parked where i needed it to be shut off and tried and it worked no problem, is this a sign of my starter going or electrical problem somewhere? is this common

It's the starter solenoid not engaging. Did you tap the starter or the solenoid?
The solenoid is the little can hanging off the side of the starter a little smaller than a popcan.
