Hey Fellas,

Well I havent been under the hood of my wifes Tahoe since back in September when I cleaned the engine and checked everything out. She stopped and got the oil changes yesterday and was told they found the hydraboost and a hose leaking. So this is what I found this morning (Sorry for the shadow in the pic),

Tahoe.jpg

Back brief, this is a 2006 Z71 with 85,000 miles on it. It started leaking within the last 6,000 miles. The guy at that changed her oil said he had to add a good amount of power steering fluid but the master cylinder was full.

From what I could tell the hose from the HB (Hydraboost) to the PS (power steering) is shot and looks like the hydraboost is infact leaking. The MC (master cylinder) looks good but I have limited expirence with this system.

So if anyone has under gone this task please shed me some light. What I'm thinking is to replace the HB, MC and that hose. Not really sure on where to start and what kind of trouble I could get myself into. I've done plenty before on an H3, Chevy 1500 and an old Blazer but this is my first rodeo with the Hoe.

One last thing, where should I source parts from??? I stopped by Autozone today and not one part was a Delco part. Some name I've never heard of and wasnt sure about. I called my Chevy house and already got the hose ordered.

I am thankful for any help or hints, tricks!

Thanks,
Kirch
