Okay ya'll im needing a bit of help picking a lift kit for my '99 obs hoe w/ autotrac.

I'm wanting a 6" kit, full drop. However I'm trying to run 15x10s with a 3.75 bs wrapped in 35" bfg km2s. Ive looked at the 6" rough country and seems decent for the price however ive heard it only has a 5.25 full drop so you have to crank to get the full 6 inches. I'm not sure if that will clear my rims and tires with that backspacing? I'd rather have a full 6" drop without cranking if possible. what would my other options be? I've heard mediocre things about procomp. Okay things about superlift and relatively good things about bds however im not sure bds will accommodate for autocrap. What lift would you fellas recommend?

BTW i have read the obs lift thread.

I loved my super lift. I beat it pretty hard. It didnt offer a true 6" drop like what you want though.

Hmm I see does your rig have the auto trac? And was it pretty close to a full six inch lift though?

I run a cepek on one truck and the rough country on another. The rough country is a nice lift and you are correct it drops about 5.125"....as do most 6" kits. My cepek drops a full 6.5" and then can crank up from there. a x10 wheel with minimal BS will rub and cutting will need to be done. You may want to explore adding a body lift or a taller kit.

I see! I wish Dick cepek was still available:Frustrated:
I may have to add a BL lift. Do you know Which kit drops it the most besides cepek for the oBs??

are you talking 6" kits or larger? I will use them as an example, Whiplash makes some huge lifts. The quality of them is well, search the web and see. There are some others in the 9" range but they get costly and require a good bit more work like drive shafts and so on.

You will need the front CV driveshaft with a 6" or larger lift for the autotrac. The oem will vibrate like crazy over about 45 mph. That little jewel is around $450, so make sure to put it in your budget

Btw, I went with FTS since I couldn't find a cepek. It is a full 6.5" drop as well.

IIRC my Superlift drops 5.5 and out of all the lifts still being made for OBS trucks i think thats the highest as far as 6 inch kits go , I think it was Cognito was the only lift that was a TRUE 6 inch drop as far as 6 inch kits went , However I don't know much about Cepeks systems so Im assuming Bowties was a 6 inch?
