So I have a 2000 z71 OBS and I just started having a problem with my power windows. They all work from the drivers seat fine but none of the other switches work. This started when I locked the windows once. Then when I went to unlock then they wouldn't go down. Now no matter what position the lock switch is in none of the windows roll down unless I do it from the drivers seat.

Update:
I just went and tested them again and something even weirder happened. I unlocked the windows and tried the back window...success! it went down. I then walked around and tried the passenger side...no luck. For a second I thought the passenger side wiring must be shot. But then I went and tested the back drivers side window and it didn't work either. I'm stumped.

First remove the switch panel off your master door and tell me what color your wires are on the lock switch. Dark blue and yellow?

if you short the Yellow and dark blue together you are bypassing the switch and all the other windows switches should operate normally indicating a problem with the windowlock switch if you still have window issues the problems is elswhere.

Something like that just make sure you have a good firm contact without damaging the terminals. or use a jumper wire with firm contact in the plug. try you window lock out a few times and try bypassing it . Go back and forth to be sure the switch is the faulty part.
