Hey guys I recently bought a 2007 Tahoe and it came with the chrome LTZ 20s but while checking some of the RPO codes I found RCS which is the polished aluminum not RCZ which I believe is the chrome rim option. Is there anyway I can find out if they are stock chrome 20s or if they are replicas? I think they are real because it looks like the truck still has the original tires that it came with from factory. Also any good websites where I can check all the rpo codes or maybe someone who can give me a build sheet for my truck?

Unless you're truck is an LTZ, either the rims were a dealer installed option or the previous owner upgraded to them at some point ... I don't think either of those two circumstances would show up on the RPO.

The inside of the wheel should have a GM stamp on the metal to check if they are oem or reps.

Chrome LTZ 20" wheels weren't available in 2007.

They came out in 2011 IIRC

The RCZ wheel which is the LTZ wheel in chrome was new in 2011. I started looking for a Tahoe in 2010 and the chrome wheel option was a different style wheel. Then the 2011 ordering information and the RCZ wheel was listed as new and I ordered them on my 2011 Tahoe.

I have seen several places on the net and Ebay where you can buy the RCS wheel that has been chromed. You buy them for about $850 for four plus a core charge. Then you send back the stock wheels after you have switched the tires and receive a core refund. Your wheels are probably OEM wheels that have been chromed unless someone just bought the factory wheels in 2011 from a dealer which would be big bucks.

Or they could just be chrome replicas.

Cool thanks for the info guys. It is an ltz but I'll look on the inside of the rim tomorrow and see what I find. Any idea on a website to check the build/rpo of my truck?

Is there anything wrong with replicas?

That's subjective. If you don't mind wearing a fake Rolex, no. But I personally prefer the real thing. just a matter of preference.
