I would greatful for any help.

My wheels which have never seen a winter are peeling very badly. I never expected this. Two questions:

Is this a common problem with that plastic type OEM Denali Wheel?

Is there anything that can be done to fix them or will GM help?

Very disappointed in this.

Any feedback.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome,

How old is the Denali and are you 100% sure the rims are OEM and that a previous owner (if there was one) didn't swap them for replicas?

Tbh, I've rarely seen peeling Denali rims, and the few times I have it's usually a result of many winters and little to no maintenance.

I've replaced one peeling wheel on my '09 Denali. Friend with '08 Denali XL has replaced several wheels. Another friend with an '07 Denali had to replace two wheels. GM did nothing to assist any of us with the insanely high cost for these wheels either. My dealer said it's very common after 4 or 5 years. Chrome wheels have no place on an awd vehicle that will see winter.

Oem Denali wheels peeling are not a common occurrence...... bit certainly I have seen and heard about it numerous times.

A saw a person who had them on craigslist blacked out...... I asked him were they black out cause they were peeling ...... and he said yes.yes
