Community Service Announcement for those running factory sound systems :)

I know these are available in sets on ebay, but here is another online source (replacementradios.com) for the individual 03-06 OEM Power/Volume push knob that is prone to finish flaking ($15 & free ground shipping). They also have other neat electronics stuff like SAT radio kits, iPod kits, OEM replacement stereos, etc...

New knob arrived...now can anyone tell me if the old knob and ring just pry off or is there some secret GM combination required?

installation instructions are not included. You shouldn't be attempting to repair a radio if you're not qualified. Having said that, installation of the volume, tune and audio knobs are easy. The old ones pop off if you give them a firm tug. All other buttons require you to remove the radio, then the radio face and, finally, the board from the back of the face.

from their website...
