OEM Security Issue

The issue is that the passlock activiates and when it does it my truck wont turn on i know how to reset it but it has happen twice in the last month.

This is wat happens when i turn on my truck in the morning on both occasions the security light stays on but i can still drive it when that happens and i turn it off and i turn it back on its when it dont start and the security light flashes but i reset it and turns on like normal again.

Has anybody had this issue before?

I still have the same problem and i notice that this happens only when its cold during the night. During the summer i did not have a problem.

Can anybody help me determine if its the lock cylinder case, Anti-Theft module or the key.

I think i have the luxury option it has the bose audio it had a factory alarm or it there a way i check which one i have?

easiest way to fix it is pull the steering colum apart start the car and cut the little yellow passlock2 wire the security light will flash all you have to do at that point is remove the bulb you will never have that problem again

Wouldn't that make the truck not turn on at all though?

no it actually totally disables the anti theft in the truck

Have you done this before i just dont want to spend money to take to the dealer to have it reprogram.
