Hello, George. New here. I have a pretty stock 2007 Tahoe, 5.4L V8, LT edition. I currently have 108,000+ miles. Others than having to replace my lifters under warranty when I first bought the thing (gasket, recall) I have not had any problems at all!

Here's my question - and I do not have any leaks - but why do I need to add a quart of oil to my truck every 2-3 weeks? Is that normal when it gets older?? It is pretty easy to tell that do not have any noticeable leaks bc I park in the same spot in my garage and at work every day . . . I asked around at a couple of local auto parts places and they are stumped, is this a normal Chevy thing??

Yea its commmon with these using oil. There is a upate that can be done. It involves replacing valve covers, decarbonizing the engine and dropping the pan to install a shield around the active fuel management solenoid. I had this update done and the oil consumption seems to be less noticable.
