It has been cold here the last 2 mornings (at least for Northern Ca, 27 degress) and while starting my truck to have it warm up in the AM, I noticed an oil drop slightly behind the front bumper, more towards the passenger side.

What could this be? I monitored it all day yesterday and did not have a drop in the afternoon when it got warmer, nor did the truck leak over night.

This morning when I warmed her up, same thing.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Check the oil cooler lines that hook into the radiator. That should be the only place oil would leak that far toward the front of the truck.

THANKS guys.

I as well thought this could be the only place, ............. BUT WHY ONLY WHEN IT IS COLD?

Could the hose be ok when it is warm as it will not be as hard and most likely seal a bit better?

Oil is thick and sticky when cold this it stays settled at the pan and not curvy laying when very cold.
