Oil Life Monitor reset

So I wanted to get the Amsoil put in and WIX filter installed today so off to the local shop I have used for years. Truck only has 2000 miles and I have run Amsoil for many years, used it for rebuild / cam projects, etc.... Just a preference.

I learned today to reset the oil life monitor you put the car in run mode (hold the start button for 5-10 sec's without brake) then press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times for about 1 second at a time then press and hold the brake. And, Oil monitor resets. I was in the truck and did it myself. You can teach and old dog new tricks. Am I the only one who didn't know this or is this common knowledge?

I learned about it the first time I changed the oil in my 2006 Denali XL. Had to read the owners manual to figure it out but it's there. Lol.

If you have the Driver Information Center you can also reset the oil life from there.
