Looking for a little bit of insight/help diagnosing a problem. The oil pressure gauge always reads zero, even at start up I don't see the gauge reset/move at all. This happened out of the blue, no error codes or warning lights active. Also engine has oil and runs perfect just as before.

Before I go about changing the oil pressure sensor, is there anything else that may be causing the gauge itself not work? I would assume the ECM is showing oil pressure or I would get the low oil pressure warning/code. Which makes me think its just he gauge.

Let me know anything I should check. Searching around it seems people normally have erratic oil pressure readings when the sensor goes bad, not one that just shows 0.

Just change the oil pressure sensor. With 99.9% certainty that's your culprit.

Not sure if there is any other way to verify it other than changing the sensor or taking it to a dealer and have them hook it up in their machines.

Mine read zero the same as yours. I would just replace it and see if thats the culprit. Be sure to get the special socket to make it a little easier. I would like to smack the engineer that put the sensor where it is.... Good Luck!

I will probably end up changing it this weekend, I would have just guessed the sensor would cause a code or error rather than nothing if it shows 0.
