I have HUUGE hands and though I can fit my hand around the cover to grab the harness. I cant get the right finger combo to pull that white tab up and press the "button?" in the middle to release. Is there another harness in the engine bay I can practice on? My thumb is still in pain after trying to push the middle with failure. I am planning to go back in and this time disconnect fuel line for hopefully more maneuvering space but definitely not confident in getting this done. I even tried to sneak a flat head in the hole of the cover where you can see the harness but no combo is working for me. I am trying to avoid going to a shop for such a basic looking job.

I tried totackle this job again and was unsuccessful. I just cant get my hand in there at the correct angle. Looking up how difficult to remove upper manifold. Almost seems worth it to pay someone to replace the way I wanted to than go through throttle. Anything else I should look at replacing while I'm opening her up?

Knock sensors and harness. Also, do the rtv mod in the valley.
Valley cover gasket, too.

I did some research on how to pull the manifold and just seemed like too much work at the moment. Ended up paying a shop 150 to replace sensor. I ended up having to show them the fast way to do it through youtube videos and such. Took a little over an hour to do. There was no screen to clean and seems previous owner replaced sensor before. After resetting ECU, CEL went away and gauge is working again. Put a good 40 miles on her before doing an oil change. The white clip was removed so changing the sensor would be easier in the future. Shop states they do that all the time but normally go the long way for replacing sensor.

Feels good to not have a CEL anymore. Next time, I'll hopefully have easier time changing sensor.
