I used the spray type since a lot of threads I read here, and else where say the break booster only gets the back half of the intake. So here is what I did.

The can comes with a fancy tube so you can take the intake hose off the TBI and fit the tube in a u shape at 12:00 position on the TBI, and put the intake hose back on. You are suppose to fog 1/2 can with engine running high idle. Shut off, and let sit for 5min. then blow the cobs out.

I did an altered method. I did 1/3 can in through the TBI let sit blew it out. Did 1/3 can through pvc hose let sit for 5 blew it out. And finally did the last 1/3 can through the brake booster hose let sit 5 blew it out.

The smoke show was not massive as some I have seen on youtube. Being that my unit was running good to begin with maybe there was not that much carbon. What got my attention initially was I cleaned my TBI, and noticed carbon on the inside of the intake while doing so. So I thought I would try the seafoam.

It seemed that it smoked the most through the PVC line than the other 2 locations. I used the 3 locations because through the TBI is concentrated to the front. The pvc location is in the middle of the intake, and the booster line is in the back of the intake.

I will say my initial thoughts on the smoking being the seafoam itself burning may be wrong since during the application process there was no smoking.

I will say beware that I read a thread at a different website where some bone head dumped a whole can of seafoam in his brake booster line with out the engine running. Needless to say when he started the motor it was hydrolocked, and snaped a rod. So you can hydrolock the motor if not done right.

I just seafoamed our VW Jetta this morning as well as cleaned out the TB and sprayed out the MAF all within the 10 minutes the seafoaming was sitting in the motor!!! Still a believer of the seafoam, it took the slight miss out of the motor that it had before!!
Glad to see you gave it a try, did you noticed a difference after you did it?

Chris honestly no. But my tahoe was already running perfect. I had a sticky throttle, and while cleaning the TB I noticed the egr pipe going in the intake behind the TB had carbon on it. So I thought I would give the SF a try. This morning I looked inside the TB, and the egr pipe still had carbon on it. Not huge amounts, but it looks about the same. I guess if you really had some rough running issues you probably notice some improvement.
