On a scale from 1 to ten how hard is it to change the serpentine belt on my 2004 Yukon XL Denali. I need to change it and is it garage changeable or a mechanic shop changeable. Take Care and Thanks in advance. Thank you.

2-3 easily changed in 15 min. Now the a/c belt may take a few min more but I'd do it while I was in there.

Maybe Im missing the point here but Id say a 1? There should be a schematic on the fan shroud and a 3/4 socket wrench to remove it . it really is that simple just have confidence

OK thank you so much. The reason I ask is because I thought my 1997 Bonneville serpentine would be a garage change like my 1992 Bonneville. But I found out the hard way. I had to remove engine mount bolts and lift the engine up with a floor jack and slide the belt underneath the left side motor mount. Which was a ***** on my own but I would say that was an 9/10 if you have the tools to do it and if you don't have a good stock of tools in your garage it would be a mechanic replacement. That's why I asked just because I remember the day of the 97 Bonneville. Thank you all so much.
