Mine also does this quite frequently when on rain-sensing mode, and it hits the tennis ball that I have hanging as a parking assist. Oddly, I parked outside last night and it rained, but they would not turn on automatically this morning when I started the car, even after I drove off. I had to initiate them manually.Not being short, but after having many vehicles with auto sensing wipers I pretty much know that swiping on startup in a dry garage means something isn’t quite right and isn’t a setting…
Doesn’t do it every time, about 70% is more accurate…
I mentioned this on a quality survey from Chevrolet recently. Let me know if you end up taking it into the dealer and if they do anything to fix it.
