Opinions in four seasons AC compressor?

I'm ready to pull the trigger and get my AC fixed after what seems like 10 years. Rock Auto has a four seasons kit that includes an upgraded design compressor. Does anyone have any experience with these and what's this new design about?

good aftermarket a/c part supplier. been around since before '90,s. new design was to cure the problem of leakage between the case halves i think.

Do I REALLY need to buy a new condenser? The kit contains an orifice tube, drier and compressor. That's all I need right?

if it ain't broke leave it but do get a new drier assembly. Unless the condenser is an upgrade as well.

Ordered. I'll get that all installed next week along with the new sway bar links. I probably have to do the rear drum brakes after that but then it'll be like a new truck. I can't wait. In the span of three weeks to a month it'll be new injector spider, cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires, intake gasket, sway bar links, AC and brakes. Total will end up being about $1200 or so for parts and labor but that beats the hell out of $35k-$40k for a new truck. After that I want to get a nice stereo and amp. I already have the speakers but no amp going to them so they don't sound all that great.

get some premium Bendix stuff for the rear. No value or economy stuff from anyone else. for Bendix I think the drum is pdr0541 x2 and the riveted shoes are 593 for new or r593 for relined. no rs593 tho, those are economy according to rock.

593, gotcha. Would you redo all of the brake hardware back there or just the shoes? I'm thinking there's an issue with them because of the sticking and how hard it is to press down the parking brake. I've never done them either in the 15 years I've owned it.

The hardware and adjuster stuff is delco 18K600 for spring set for both wheels. 18K73 for left wheel adjuster kit and 18K74 for the right.

I should add that the hardware kit are just springs and screws and it should not matter where they come from but I still get concerned about the materials they are made of and the materials finishing process. That is why i still by the more expensive hardware. They have a tendency to be of better quality even if from out of country.
