Hi Guys,

I looked around on the net for some black wheels to go on my truck and the way I figure it I am down to one of two options and thought you folks can nudge me in one direction or the other, or maybe open my eyes to something else altogether.

The first option is to paint my OE 20" wheels black and leave it at that.

The second option is to go with these Boss Motorsports wheels in 22":

Couldn't find a picture on a Yukon but this is fair enough:

So what do you guys/gals think?

PS: I really don't want to go over 22" to keep the ride from becoming a bit rough.

I would go with something either all black or black with chrome accents. I wouldn't do a chrome lip.

One I would pic is:

Okay well you have a few things going on here to talk about. :)

Many of us are of the opinion that big lipped rims on anything smaller than a 24" makes wheels look extremely small. A concave 20 or 22, to the eye, looks like a lipped 24, conversely a lipped 22 will look like a concave 20.

You're also picking rims with very thin spokes ... although that look can be somewhat elegant, unless you have a big brake kit under there you're going to see a poopload of oem general brake ugliness. Even more so with those starfish type spokes.

A lot of people like the KMC slides, although way too many around these parts, perhaps fewer in your neck of the oasis. :)

There are other very beautiful black rims, including the 22 tbss replicas in black ... and although they are also six spoke like the two you showed above, they are concave and the spokes are beefier. I think they would look perfect for your truck.

You might also want to consider the 22" esky reps in black:

I would go with some esky 22's or 24" esky reps. There are more than a few people on here that have them. Search for Yates a member on here. He has some chrome 24" esky reps. Looks sick! Also norcal SS is now selling them in black and chrome.

Who is this yates guy? :secret:

I wouldn't get the boss's, they look good for a year and then the clear coat on the lips start to discolor and chip off.

Well I'm just saying my opinion. No one has to listen to what I say if they don't want too. I don't like flat black rims though! I like shiny black rims allot more and on mine I have black and machined 17s for winter and chrome 22s for the main use.

Here's another thought, I have these coming in Chrome 22" on monday. Just make sure you get something that still portrays the "class" that the Denali displays.

Those are very hard to keep clean put a set that looks exactly the same but different name brand on my wifes car an believe me they are the worst to clean especially trying to get in between those spokes
