Hello all,
It's been a while since I've posted, but I recently went into the dash to try and fix my CD/Radio display that quit working. Since they are LED, I knew it wasn't a bulb.
1) remove the dash cover
2) remove the radio
3) remove the top and bottom cover on the radio. In order to do this, you have to unplug 3 wiring harness connectors from the circuit board. The last one I pulled was the smallest and I noticed that the blue wire seemed to be stretched. I noticed that the wiring harness was the clip type that pushes the wire between a copper "V" that removes the insulation and allows the wire to make contact. I pushed the blue wire back into the slot (firmly), then reconnected all the wiring harnesses.
4) replace the top and bottom cover
5) replace the radio
6) turn the key to the accessory position and "voila", the display was lit up again!
Hope this helps someone else that has a blacked out display.
