Outrageous Quotes

What is the most outrageous quote you have ever been told for someone to do something for your Tahoe???

Mine was today...I went to the Line-X place in Decatur,Al this afternoon to get a quote...I wanted them to spray both my Bumpers, Fender Flares, and Rocker Panels...

Bumpers--$300
Rocker Panels--$800
Fender Flares--$200

Total--$1300

I was also told that I would have to take the bumpers, and fender flares off because they will not spray them with them on...Before I left I asked how much it would be to spray the roof and he quoted me $400 for that...I never would have assumed it would cost that much...I think I'll go with the Rust-Oleum Spray-In Bedliner...

I'd go somewhere else. On my 2 door Yukon I was quoted $450 for rockers and bumpers, with removal of the bumpers and fender flares included and in any color I wanted.

I got the interior of my Scout II Linex'ed from firewall to tailgate and up the sides in the bed area for less than what you were quoted, and that included all prep (even cutting out rusted bolts).

that tells you they don't want to do it. try another shop.

ive had the same problem with autobody quotes. really high- they just don't want to do it.

My tahoe didnt run and i couldnt figure it out, took it to dealership they said it needed a new computer and retune and other parts idk. they said around 1500 bucks. So i took it back home and really dig into it. Here a mouse had chewed threw 4 wires going into the electrical control unit.

Well I just got back from Wal-Mart where I bought 6 cans of Rust-Oleum Spray-In Bedliner, 3 cans of Primer, Sand Paper, Tape, and some buffing disk all for $100...I plan on pulling my Tahoe in my back garage this weekend to sand my bumpers, and rocker panels. I'll probally prime everything Monday or Tuesday that way I'll have a all of next weekend to paint...just gotta hope for a half-way decent weekend because we haven't had one lately...
