This evening my buddy and I replaced the condenser in his 2001 Buick Lesabre. The sticker under the hood stated 32ozs, so I told him to pickup two 16oz cans of R134. All we need to do is install both cans and the capacity should be dead on rite? Wrong! This numb nuts bought 19oz cans, we couldnt understand why it was not blowing as good as it was with the consdenser with the hole in it. I look at the can's just out of curiosity and noticed it.

So know what? Money is tight so he is not going to evacuate, and replace the freon so how can we release some freon? :emotions122:

just ask a local shop to bleed a very little amount off into a recovery tank. I don't think they will charge for it. You are giving them free freon.

Or....

Mate one of each gauge hose to your low side and his low side, run your a/c compressor to see if the your pressure is lower while his is not operating. If so bleed some of his into yours when compressor operates since we all know how low you are. On freon that is.

Or...

under extreme cuation bleed some from his system back into an empty can and if it stalls use another can, close it and take it to a recycling center or just about any air shop to evacuate the can.
