vent canister purge valve through the code. replaced it but broke the clip on the hose didn't replace it yet. check engine light came back on..then

Ok so my service stability traction control light came on a few weeks ago never checked the check engine light to see if it through a code or not.

today engine was ticking bad and running really rough at idol. through some marvens into the engine and it stopped and smoothed out but had the engine light code ran and it was a p0305

problem is idk when it through the code! or which symptom made it throught the code.

also checked dipstick and why does the oil only stay on the side of the dip stick never all the way on it only up the side?

Ok, what kind of engine are we dealing with here?

Since you have audible engine noises that are not normal, I would focus on cylinder number 5. When that is squared away, fix the other thing.

The oil level on the dipstick should be read at the highest point that oil is completely across the dipstick. Ignore the oil that is only at the edges.

Let the engine cool off completely before you check the oil this time. Usually it’s not a big deal but since you’re hearing a noise I would.

Ok, you'll want to pull the plug and inspect it. Look for exhaust leaks, check the coil and wire and injector too as you are able. If you have a bore light camera, have a look inside the chamber and do a compression test. When the motor is cool, check the coolant and oil for contamination of either.
