Ive had the engine light intermittent for years due to this code. I changed all the o2 sensors and still had code popping up. I had a shop diagnoss the same issue and used there preference sensor. Still had the same issue. They stated it could be the PCM or shorted wire...What else is the main culprit on this code. The catalytic converter? Is the shop more correct?
I also ran across this link on here but not sure if i can check all functions.

either damaged o2 wiring fir sensor or heater circuit or the pcm is faulty. they need to make sure that the power feed to sensor is good and check continuity of sensor signal return wires to the pcm. should only use delphi or delco sensors as well. other brands may give signal response timing issues. contamination of a sensor can give this code too. some exhaust leaks can cause this as well. you are getting the code because the number of transients in a giving time is not enough coming from the front sensor on the right cylinder bank.
