Hey guys,
Here's my story. I've been chasing a misfire on cylinder 7 for more than a year. I've changed the spider, rotor, cap, wires, and the fuel pump is about 18 months old.
While removing the plug on #7 this evening, my wrench hit the steering column and almost set off the car alarm. When I reconnected the wire to the new plug, the alarm chirped again.
I traced the black wire for the alarm that runs thru the column boot, and took out the slack. As soon as I pull out of the driveway, I notice the truck runs like a champ.
WTF OVER?
Does this have something to do with the alarm wiring causing misfires I read on here somewhere?
I can't wait for the drive to work tomorrow and see if it's really fixed.....
