paint chrome door handles?

i have a black tahoe with chrome door handles and i am wanting to black it out. has anybody had any experience getting their chrome handles painted black if so did it last, fade, chip? or would it be a waste of time and should i buy black handles and just have them painted?

It will cost you about the same, they cost around $100 on eBay

And it takes about 20-40 minutes to remove them. Less if you've removed these panels before.

Id say buy the black handles and just replace them. You can end up getting some money back when you sell the chrome.

im just worried if i buy black ones off ebay or anywhere online it might not match the paint of the truck and have to get it painted anyway.

What is your black called? Just search the name of the color GM door handles and you should be fine

im trying to find the color out now. i think its onyx black from searching online but not 100%

If its Solid black (8555), there should be no issue of them matching. Its hard to screw up black, especially on such a small piece.
