I got into a small fender bender and busted my front bumper.

Looking at my options I have a $1k deductible and I believe I can buy a painted bumper and install it myself for considerably less.

Someone please give some advice and tell me what my paint code is and if swapping front bumpers is as doable as I think it is. 643f9502dc01de35494b42dd37186eb5.jpg

It should be listed at the bottom after the BC/CC (base coat/clear coat), but I don't see it.

Here's my RPO sticker and you can see the color code 501Q listed. The 197 afterwards is interior.

Your interior is 397, which is Cocoa/Lt Cashmire.

Maybe someone will chime in and see what I'm not

Yep, mine is 9539 and is in the location, like @gooffeyguy said, on my RPO sticker. Don't have a clue why it is not on yours Greg.

When I bought my 02 Tahoe it had a dent in the bumper and I was able to find one at Amazon and it was chrome. No paint needed. you tube videos tell you how to replace.

Mocha Steel Metallic, 33 or GHA or WA706S

A new factory bumper is about $400 the aftermarket ones don't give and don't last either, some are even fiberglass.

Let me see...

To be sure request your build sheet. The process is below.

There is also a way to get the original build sheet with RPO codes from Chevrolet. setup a my.chevrolet.com account then you can send a request in like I did below. Received the build sheet a day later.

Subject: Build Sheet Request

I recently purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Suburban. I have setup a my.chevrolet.com account linked to this email address. Can I get a pdf copy of my build sheet sent to me at this address? VIN 1GNSKHKC7KRXXXXXX <- (insert your VIN here)

HOLD ON!!
i JUST
went through the same thing and it was a nightmare. I went to Napa paint store with my color code(s) and they mixed it up and put it into a spray can(s) for me.
I did this with the wife's Subaru as well because she had a fender that needed repair. Might as well get them both done right?...
After the Bondo, after the hours of sanding, I had the Hoe primered and ready..
I cheated and bought a brand new fender for the Subaru and had primered it as well...

TIME FOR THE COLOR...
Both colors were considerably "off" in color even though I provided the color code for both vehicles. Im not talking just a little "off"...I mean by a lot! The color they had mixed for my Tahoe was lighter and had more flakes in it. I clear coated it anyway thinking this was the best I was going to get. I painted the new Subaru fender on a work table and clear coated it as well. I installed the fender and it was just as bad of contrast as my Tahoe.
Yikes!

Redo! I went to a "real" auto paint store. They informed me there was 8 DIFFERENT variations of my Tahoe's color code and 9 different variants of the Subaru's! They were able to mix me paint that actually matched! The paint may be put into rattle cans, but I assure you that it isn't cheap. At $40 a can(color) and $30 for two-part clear it adds up really fast.
Napa was kind enough to refund me for the $120 in paint they sold me after I explained the situation.

Moral of the story,..find a good paint store and test the color first.
--trust me this is the shortened version!

I may have done wrong but I ordered one pre painted from paintapart for $417 with free shipping. Hopefully it holds up. If not I guess I learned a lesson.

Sad thing is when I bought this truck I wanted a brush guard my wife talked me out of it. If I’d had it I think it might have saved the bumper.

Let us know how it turns out and what paint code is that anyway? Mocha or Gold?
